In the morning of July 1st, the Consul-General of American Consulate General in Chengdu Mr. Raymond Greene paid a visit to our CCPIT Chongqing Committee. Vice-Chairman Mr. Deng Wennian received guests.


Firstly, Mr. Deng reviewed and fully affirmed the successful cooperation between American Consulate and us in the last few years, introduced the opportunities for American companies to invest and cooperate with Chongqing, especially introduced the development of Chongqing industry, promoted the “China·Chongqing International Logistics Exhibition” which will be held this Nov. in Chongqing, and expressed the hope that American Consulate can take full advantage of the opportunity in the process of Chongqing’s industrial upgrading to promote American hi-tech enterprises to take part in the development of Chongqing’s top 10 new industries. Consul-General Mr. Greene agreed with the opinion of Mr. Deng Wennian, and said that American enterprises are interested in enhancing the economic and trade relation with Chongqing, and they are willing to promote American enterprises to participate in the development of Chongqing’s new industries, including the logistics industry. He also expressed his hope that Chongqing companies can go to American and invest American, and would have some match-makings focusing on the specific industries that Chongqing companies are interested in. Besides, Mr. Greene introduced their major activities that will be held in Chengdu and Chongqing in the second half of this year. The two sides also exchanged ideas on how to strengthen the closer collaboration between our two organizations and jointly push forward the two regions’ cooperation in the service industry, tourism, new energy, etc.
